Dear Prospective Member:
Due to your important role as a supplier to the aircraft carrier industry, we invite you to join the Aircraft Carrier Industrial Base Coalition (ACIBC). The ACIBC is made up of more than 400 businesses that supply components and services for U.S. Navy aircraft carriers. We seek to preserve the strength of the aircraft carrier force and promote the value of the industrial base as a vital part of the nation's overall defense structure by educating policymakers and other stakeholders. Our objective is to reach out to companies in the Aircraft Carrier Industrial Base and encourage them to join the ACIBC. Together we can serve as an advocate for congressional funding for carrier programs and for the thousands of jobs supported either directly or indirectly by this funding.
Although the industrial base plays an important role in the development and maintenance of one of our nation’s most critical and trusted military platforms, it faces challenges such as increased budget cuts, reduced acquisition rates, and the risk of carrier force structure reductions that threaten the survivability of our industry. By joining the coalition, you will have an opportunity to participate in the national discussion on carrier funding and to underscore the importance of carriers to our country’s security and global stability.
We encourage you to consider membership in the Aircraft Carrier Industrial Base Coalition. Coalition membership is open to individuals and companies, including aircraft carrier contractors and subcontractors committed to the strength of the aircraft carrier force structure and its industrial base. Coalition activities are voluntary and there is no membership fee. However, members are responsible for the cost of their participation in coalition activities.
To find out more the coalition, please look through this site or call Greg McCarthy at 202-585-2141 or email him at . We look forward to your membership in the coalition.
