Representative Joe Courtney Visits Design Automation Associates in Windsor Locks, CT

Windsor Locks, CT — Representative Joe Courtney (D-CT-02) visited Design Automation Associates (DAA) while in Windsor Locks to see the jobs and businesses the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier program brings to his district. DAA’s engineering and computer science consultants work with manufacturers to implement Industry 4.0 PLM digitalization applications which improve product development cycle time, cost, and quality.

“I received an outstanding brief this week from DAA regarding their cutting edge systems which have saved taxpayers millions of dollars in some of our nation’s most critical defense procurement programs. Their success can be replicated on a larger scale and I look forward to working with them and their team of high value skilled employees to do even better things for our country,” said Representative Joe Courtney.

Currently, 36 aircraft carrier suppliers in Connecticut contribute more than $108 million worth of parts and services for the aircraft carrier program per vessel. This industrial base work provides more than 600 jobs (directly and indirectly) for the men and women of Connecticut.

“DAA was honored to host Representative Courtney, who constantly works to protect our nation by supporting defense industry manufacturing. We look forward to working with him to help defense manufacturers across the United States shorten development cycle times and reduce costs,” said John Lambert, CEO of Design Automation Associates.
