Action Days 2024 took place on Tuesday, March 19 and Wednesday March 20. Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s event. 

On Day 1, participants had the chance to attend supply chain sessions on Driving Sustainment with Workforce Development and Technology, and Supply Chain Overview and Doing Business with Newport News Shipbuilding. We’d like to thank all of the supply chain managers for facilitating 113 on-on-one meetings, the most in Action Days history. During the general session in the afternoon, attendees heard from ACIBC leadership, RDML Casey Moton, RDML Doug Verissimo, NAVSEA Director Doug Vaughters, and HII and Newport News Shipbuilding executives for Carrier Program and CVN Programmatic Updates.

Participants then enjoyed a cocktail reception and dinner program full of networking with other aircraft carrier suppliers! We heard remarks from ACIBC Chair Lisa Papini, NNS President Jennifer Boykin, and United States Senator Mark Kelly. We are ecstatic that so many suppliers, NNS representatives and Navy officials took time out of their busy schedules to attend Action Days this year. We had record attendance of over 345 individuals at the conference. 

On Day 2, attendees gathered on Capitol Hill for breakfast and heard remarks from Sen. Tim Kaine (VA), Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA-01), Rep. Trent Kelly (R-MS-01), Rep. Joe Courtney (D-CT-02), Rep. Jenn McClellan (D-VA-04), Rep. Garbarino (R-NY-02), and Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-PA-17). Then, attendees were off to their congressional meetings!
